The RIA Main Street communities of Edgewood and Eckington have a new grocery store! FoodRite Discount Supermarket opened earlier this week at 2205 4th St. NE, the site of the former New Star Supermarket. We stopped in to visit earlier this week, and were thrilled to see a clean store with fresh meats and produce. One of the new owners, Amru Ousman, said they are dedicated to providing an ever-improving shopping experience. They are planning on expanding to include organic produce and a full bakery.
The store’s Grand Opening will be this weekend – be sure to stop in and support this great new store!
